Slovak Craft Industry Federation

The Slovak Craft Industry Federation has been founded in 1992 as an association of trade communities and profession guilds. It is actively involved in legislative processes and, where necessary, initiates negotiations with government representatives and other state bodies in order to improve the legislative and economic conditions for self-employed and small and medium-sized enterprises.

The Slovak Craft Industry Federation strives to improve the social status and social protection of self-employed, who form an important part of the country's economy. It is a co-founder of the Slovak Business Agency (SBA), together with the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic and the Association of Entrepreneurs of the Slovak Republic, which provides assistance to entrepreneurs in accordance with the principles of the Small and Medium Enterprises Act initiative. At the international level, he has been a member of the European Builders Confederation (EBC) based in Brussels since 2018. As an associate member of the Association of Industrial Unions and Transport, it is involved in the national social dialogue. The Slovak Craft Industry Federation provides information services to its members through a regular e-newsletter, website and social media; coordinates the joint activities of its member organisations in relation to state, public and private sector institutions; represents their demands and proposals at government and parliamentary level, as well as in various advisory bodies and commissions.
