The Hungarian Urbanists' Society (MUT) is a professional-social organisation of people professionally engaged in urban studies and those with a keen interest in urban studies. It was founded in 1966. The 49 founding members represented 11 professions.
The aim of the Society is to make Hungarian urbanism, the development, planning, management and operation of spatial and settlement development, consisting of the coordinated activities of many different professions, as successful and efficient as possible.
